Christine Smith Executive Director
Christine has been the Executive Director of Heritage Green for over 13 years. She takes great pride in assuring that the needs of the residents are met and their expectations are exceeded. Christine or “Chris” feels she has received many blessings in life, but nothing compares to the time she spends with her family. She and her husband of 27 years, Eric, have three children, Mandie, Justin, and Jordan. She has also been blessed with a son in law, Eric, and two grandchildren, Cannen and Harvin. She enjoys the beach, cruises, traveling and is very active in her church. Chris is also a true blue Cowboys fan.
Holly Carson Marketing Director
Holly is from the Eastern Shore of Virginia and moved to Richmond after graduating from Longwood with a degree in Social Work. She has worked in healthcare for over 30 years in skilled nursing facilities, home health and DME. She has been at Heritage Green for 11 years and has been so blessed to be a part of the team. Holly particularly loves working with seniors and their families. She has been a Field Instructor for The VCU School of Social Work and has been proud to watch her students graduate and move on to productive careers. Holly has a son, Joe, who is working on a master’s degree with plans to enter medical school. She also has a daughter, Jenna, who is pursuing studies at J. Sargent Reynolds. She enjoys zumba classes, playing tennis and reading.
Jemetrice Blakely Assistant Resident Care Director
Jemetrice has been at Heritage Green for 13 years. She began as a Certified Nursing Assistant and then transitioned to Assistant Activity Director. Her hard work and dedication to Heritage Green has earned her the position of the Assistant Resident Care Director. She became a Licensed Medication Technician in 2010. Jemetrice takes her position caring for the residents very seriously and feels honored to do so. Jemetrice is a proud mother of four children, 3 sons and a daughter. She likes to spend her extra time with her daughter shopping and having that special mother/daughter time.
Katherine Watts Life Enrichment Director
Kat has been Heritage Green's Activity Director for almost 8 years and loves her residents. She graduated from Longwood University with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology. Kat has worked with both assisted living and memory care populations, but presently is focused on our assisted living residents. She does many outings into the Mechanicsville and Hanover area as well as leads daily activities within the facility. When she's not enriching the lives of others, Kat spends time with her shihtzu/maltese "child" Tanner.
Andrea Evans Dietary Manager
Andrea has been the Dietary Manager at Heritage Green for 10 years. She prides herself on providing our residents with wholesome and delicious meals and snacks prepared by her staff. Andrea finds so much pleasure in planning meals that the resident's will love! She is married and lives in King and Queen. In her spare time, she loves to shop or bake with her 14 year old daughter. Andrea says that she has learned patience from her daughter and has learned that "the oldest trees often bear the sweetest fruit" from our residents.
Chris Carson Maintenance Director
Chris or “Carson,” as we call him, is originally from north Eastern Ohio but moved to Richmond in 2002. He has 14 years experience in both maintenance and plant management with 4 years in the healthcare field. He joined the Heritage Green family in February and loves being a part of such a great and caring team! In his spare time Chris loves spending time with his wife. They love to travel with plans and goals of visiting each continent of the world. He is also a huge Ohio state Buckeye fan and has two cats named Nala and Brutus. Go Bucks!!!
Valerie Sharpe Resident Care Director
Valerie is from Buckingham County Virginia: Born and Raised. She moved to Farmville after graduating form high school in 1984 where she attended Southside School of Nursing. She has been in Nursing over 30 years. Most of her experience has been in Long Term Care. She has always wanted to be a nurse and has no other desire to be anything other than a nurse. She finds this career path that she has chosen to be very rewarding. Valerie has four daughters that range in age from 21-27 years of age and one grand daughter. She enjoys cooking home cook and comfort foods for her family and spending the time with them all.
Morgan Aucoin Business Office Manager
Morgan is from a small town called Amelia County, which lies in the greater Richmond region. Morgan has been at Heritage Green for almost four years now. She started at HG as a receptionist but has become well acquainted with the Business office Functions and was promoted to the Office Manager early this year. She is delighted and grateful to be a part of such a loving and caring team. Morgan enjoys working with our residents and their families. In her spare time, she loves to spend quality time with her fiancé Brandon and son Waylon.
